We just took several photos with your books in the city centre of Leipzig. “Thanks for investing so much on this crazy coincidence.” We had a lot of fun and went for ice cream afterwards, so it was really a pleasure. “Very nice photos, appreciate all!” Especially my mother is a great fan of your book. I think that maybe sometime in the future my parents might try one of your proposed trips in Malaysia. “Yeah thank you. Happy to hear that. Let me know when they plan to visit Malaysia again. Maybe we can meet up for a meal.” ....................................... The Chinese version I dispatched out in July 2017 was delivered to a family living in Leipzig, Germany in July 2019. We totally have no idea why the book was sent to Germany 2 years later but happy to know the daughter knows Chinese! She spent time figuring out this page and messaged me if the book was wrongly sent. Immediately I related this to couple of books went missing 2 years ago. Since she can read, I gave it to her. She knew the English version was going to launch, without any hesitation she bought the English version for her parents. Then she sent me few photos with both Chinese and English versions in Leipzig taken with her parents a month later once she got the English version. Another lovely, wonderful and unforgettable “arrangement” I can cherish and share. Wish to meet up with them in Leipzig or KL someday...... PS : Her dad was wearing a very touristic t-shirts of Kuala Lumpur’s iconic buildings and towers.

Wow this video has more than 10k views! Thank you everyone for the likes, comments and shares. Ok I decided to do more videos next year (let me finish Part 2 - Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan) first, will do it in English and probably Bahasa Malaysia also. Stay tuned. https://tinyurl.com/y5k2ztde https://youtu.be/7Bg_2-5rF2U🚌💨🇲🇾 I’m not a curator, no experience at all. You know, as a “father” of MJBB and wanting to properly share my bus journey with everyone, I have no choice but force myself to make sure everyone enjoy the events I’m doing. For the exhibition mainly to launch the English version, I had prepared few Instagrammable spots but with the constraint informed last minute was something I couldn’t tolerate at the beginning! Why last minute? Why things always happen this way? Event decided, guest of honour invited, everything was there, yet I left with ”accept it as challenge”, “postpone” or “cancel”? Of course, I couldnt simply postpone, because it’s super hard to get confirmation from my guest of honour. I also couldn’t cancel because I had arranged and prepared everything for the exhibition. Once cooling down myself, immediately I changed the layout, then negotiated with the contractor, hoping he could delay setting up the partition for his work. Thanks God, he agreed to first get other stuff settled and start the set-up after the opening ceremony. Opening ceremony settled, next was to fully focus on two highlights of the exhibition - collage of photos and postcard colouring activity. Instantly I printed 50 pieces more photos and decorated the wall. It was a nice backdrop for the opening. I’m glad that almost everyone who visited staring at the collage corner, most of them would take photo and some even posing in front of it for pictures. Then, the postcard colouring session, I’m happy to see everyone especially the grandma and grandpa who enjoyed colouring and drawing after few decades (since Form 3 mostly). Still, I’m sorry for the disturbing construction (cutting, drilling, hammering, etc.) sounds and the annoying welding smell, also wanting you to watch out the stuff on the floor during your visit on weekdays. Due to poor lighting, after 7pm, I’m glad to see some take initiative turning on their mobile’s torch light checking out the old bus tickets. The exhibition was initially bilingual but with the space changed last minute, I could only showcase English version. Also, the comment board had to give way to the event on the final two days, thank you everyone who approached and told me personally your supportive comments. With my ability alone, looking back a week later, I did a great job. I really had done a fantastic job. Although this is not what I wanted to show, at least, it’s still acceptable on weekend. I’m shocked to know those found it weird could ignore the ambiance and grateful to hear them say “it’s alright” after I explained. Luckily the content and hard-work took over the constraint! Sincerely I apologise for such condition. Probably, it was a test, under such circumstances, “they” wanna see how I react and what kind of measures would I take to continue doing the exhibition. Well, I’m no a robot, I get tired eventually, without the encouragement from Mr. Loo, KC, Shelly, Edwin, friends, visitors, etc., I wouldn’t be able to come this far. Thank you. I appreciate the space sponsored by REX KL. REX KL is an awesome place, if you are going to do something there, try not to do alone, in case there’s any changes, you have manpower to sort things out. Never did I regret doing exhibition there, in fact, once everything was confirmed, I was always ready to help and solve problem. Sorry if I couldn’t do much for the exhibition and thank you for the opportunity. Lastly, I wanna apologise again from the bottom of my heart for all the troubles. Hope we can meet up at Petronas Gallery or Balai Seni. Yes I’m aiming to do exhibition there! Hope everyone will have their own “MJBB” sooner. Well, I mean everyone of us should at least have a bus journey slowly exploring Malaysia. 🚌💨 Doing exhibition alone is tough but luckily everything ended well. Thank you. Thank you for the visit, encouragement, compliment, company, comment, advice, suggestion, support, tofu fa, mooncake, orchid, etc. Till we meet again somewhere someday, take care everyone.
